Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Speedy Sticks at-home service work?

First, book an appointment with us for a specified date and time. Speedy Sticks will send a phlebotomist/nurse to your house for the medical testing you request. (Please allow a 2-hour window for our team to reach your location). Then, after your visit, your specimens are safely and securely handed off to one of the laboratories we work with who processes your specimen, bills your insurance (if applicable), and publishes a report. You may then view the report directly from the laboratory. Please note that Speedy Sticks is not a laboratory and therefore does not control result turnaround times.

Does Speedy Sticks accept insurance?

While certain blood tests (and all non-rapid COVID-19 testing) are covered by health insurance, Speedy Sticks does not bill insurance for our at-home concierge service that we provide. Any and all payments made are for the at-home concierge services, and generally not for the laboratory testing. Insurance information is collected for the laboratory to bill for any blood tests and/or COVID-19 testing that you or your provider request.

Do I need a credit/debit card to book an appointment with Speedy Sticks?

Yes. Credit/debit cards are needed to confirm, hold, and pay for appointments.

Are there any cancellation fees?

All bookings are subject to a non-refundable $50 cancellation fee. Any appointment canceled within 24 hours of time of appointment will result in a non-refundable full charge of services.

Can I change my appointment time?

Rescheduling an appointment is allowable for no charge at least 24 hours before time of appointment. Appointments cannot be rescheduled within 24 hours of time of appointment. No-shows at time of appointment will result in full charge of services requested.

Are there any additional fees other than those listed on your website?

No. All pricing listed on the website represents the total amount(s) due.

Where can I learn more about COVID-19 protocols and procedures?

You may refer to the CDC website for the most up-to-date information regarding COVID-19: CDC Website.

What is the refund policy?

Speedy Sticks does not offer refunds for concierge services in which healthcare professionals visit your location to provide services.

If my blood cannot be drawn due to my improper test preparation, will a refund be issued?

No. Speedy Sticks hires experienced healthcare professionals to perform blood draws, so an unsuccessful draw is not common. However, at times this may occur due to an improper preparation or simply for individuals whose veins are difficult to identify. In this case,  refunds are NOT issued for a blood draw appointment in which our healthcare professionals cannot draw your blood due to your improper test preparation (which includes things like fasting when necessary and drinking an appropriate amount of fluid prior to the blood draw) or for individuals whose veins are difficult to identify beyond normal limits.

Is there an ideal time to book a blood draw?

Unless your doctor specifies a specific time of day to get your blood drawn, you may book at any time that is convenient for you. Please note that blood draws after 4pm on weekends may experience a delay in drop-off and laboratory processing time, which may increase the risk that the collected becomes unusable. Speedy Sticks does not issue a refund in this scenario.
