Before the visit

- Freeze all ice packs for at least 24 hours. [S1]
- Check the expiration date on both ACD tubes. [S1]
- Draw early in the week so you can drop off before the FedEx cutoff. [S1]

- Collect two full ACD tubes. [S1]

Right after collection
Processing
- Invert each tube 8 times right away. [S1]
- Label with name, date of birth and collection date, and complete the requisition. [S1]

Get it to the lab

- Keep the ACD tubes away from direct contact with frozen ice packs. [S1]
