Arrays (serum, e.g., Array 2, 3X, 4, 5, 10, 12)

Cyrex Laboratories runs immune reactivity testing called Arrays. Tests need an order from a licensed healthcare professional with a Cyrex account. Cyrex doesn't offer on-site phlebotomy, so patients can use any draw location or service. [C2][C3]

Cyrex Arrays include Array 2 (Intestinal Antigenic Permeability Screen), Array 3X (WheatBurden), Array 4 (Gluten-Associated Cross-Reactive Foods and Foods Sensitivity), Array 5 (Multiple Autoimmune Reactivity Screen), Array 7X (Neurological Autoimmune Reactivity Screen, Expanded), Array 10 and 10-90 (Multiple Food Immune Reactivity Screen), Array 11 (Chemical Immune Reactivity Screen), Array 12 (Pathogen-Associated Immune Reactivity Screen), Array 20 (Blood Brain Barrier Permeability), and Array 22 (Irritable Bowel/SIBO Screen).    Before the visit

   Prep

   • No fasting. But avoid a high fat meal before the draw. Lipemic (fatty) serum is rejected. [C2]
   • Immunosuppressants and corticosteroids can lower antibody levels and cause false negatives. Ask your provider about timing. Don't stop prescriptions on your own. [C2]
   • If you use a contracted Cyrex draw center, bring your blood draw authorization form and a photo ID. [C2]

   The draw

   • Collect 5 mL in a red top or tiger top tube. [C1]
   • Only one collection is needed for all serum tests. [C1]
   • Order of draw is not published. Follow the instructions in your kit.

   Right after collection

   Processing

   • Transfer 2 mL of serum to the pour-off tube. [C1]
   • Clot time and spin speed are not published online. Follow the instructions in your kit.
   • Storage temperature for serum is not published online. Follow the instructions in your kit.

   Get it to the lab

   Shipping

   • Ship Monday through Thursday only. [C2]
   • Use the UPS return pak and label in the kit. [C2]
   • Turnaround is 14 business days from when the lab receives the sample. [C2]
