Vibrant America and Vibrant Wellness publish one phlebotomy sheet that covers their venous blood tests. Vibrant Wellness also sells fingerstick versions of some panels. This guide covers the arm draw (venipuncture) versions only. Speedy Sticks does not do fingerstick collection. [V1]

Vibrant's sheet groups its tests by tube. [V1] - SST (serum): all Food Zoomers, Food Additive, Food Sensitivity, Total Immunoglobulins, Tickborne, Neural Zoomer Plus, Cardio Zoomer, and Micronutrient - Royal blue or SST plus a metal-free transfer tube: Micronutrient and NutriPro - Lithium heparin plasma: Cardio Zoomer - Lavender K2EDTA: Cardio Zoomer and Cardio Genetics. On the Vibrant America side it also covers HbA1c, CBC, Micronutrient (needs 3 tubes) and Omega Fatty Acids (needs its own tube). The Gut Zoomer is a stool kit and has its own guide.

   Before the visit

   Prep

   • Fasting 10 to 12 hours is recommended for Vibrant America tests only. Fasting is not required for the Micronutrient serum, heparin plasma or EDTA tubes. [V1]
   • Draw Monday through Friday. Vibrant does not recommend Saturday draws because the lab is closed on Sunday. [V1]
   • Freeze the ice packs at least 24 hours before the draw. [V1]
   • Talk to your provider before stopping any medication or supplement.

   The draw

   • Vibrant lists its tubes in order of draw. Always collect in this order: [V1]
   • Light blue sodium citrate, 2.7 mL (Fibrinogen, Vibrant America only). Fill it completely.
   • SST: 7.0 mL red cap with yellow ring, or 8.5 mL red/gray tiger top.
   • Micronutrient and NutriPro: 2 royal blue trace element tubes, or 2 SSTs.
   • Lithium heparin plasma separator (light green).
   • Lavender K2EDTA, 4 mL. Micronutrient needs 3 lavender tubes, and Omega Fatty Acids needs its own.

   Right after collection

   • | SST | Invert 8 to 10 times, clot upright 30 minutes, then spin 10 min at 3400 RPM or 15 min at 3300 RPM. Spin within 2 hours of the draw. |
   • | Micronutrient serum (2 tubes) | Invert 8 to 10 times right after the draw, clot 30 minutes (no more than 60), spin 15 min at 3300 RPM. Pipette serum from both tubes into one metal-free TES transfer tube (minimum 3 to 4 mL), with no red cells. Label it "TES". Recap the original tubes, tape the lids, and send them too. |
   • | Lithium heparin | Invert 8 to 10 times, spin 15 min at 3300 RPM within 2 hours, pour the plasma into the transfer tube and label it "plasma". |
   • | Lavender K2EDTA | Invert 8 to 10 times. Do not centrifuge. Wrap in 3 layers of bubble bag. |
   • | Light blue citrate | Invert at least 6 times. Do not centrifuge. Must arrive within 24 hours. |

   Get it to the lab

   Shipping

   • From Vibrant's shipping sheet: [V1]
   • Put all processed tubes in one biohazard bag (don't split them up), with the Complete Order Summary in the back pocket.
   • Put frozen ice packs on the bottom of the cooler: 1 for a small box, 2 for a medium box.
   • Lay the bag on top, then add more frozen packs on top (2 total for small, at least 4 total for medium). Add extra packs in hot regions.
   • Close the cooler, fill out the packing slip, seal the box, and check that the return label is attached.
   • Call FedEx at 800-463-3339 to schedule a pickup. Ship the same day as the draw, before the FedEx next day cutoff. Held samples can be rejected.
