About this kit
MosaicDX runs organic acid, mycotoxin and other urine tests. [M1]
Organic Acids Test (OAT), Microbial OAT and MycoTOX Profile, each needing at least 10 mL of urine. [M1]
The process
Step by step

Before the visit
Prep
- Limit fluids after 6 PM the night before and empty your bladder before bed. Collect at least 6 hours later, on waking, before eating or drinking. [M1]
- OAT: for 48 hours avoid apples, grapes, raisins, pears, cranberries and their juices, plus arabinogalactan, echinacea, reishi and ribose. Wait 48 hours after antibiotics. [M1]
- MycoTOX: a 12 hour fast may help (not required). Avoid glutathione, charcoal and binders for 3 days. Not testable on mycophenolate. [M1]
- Stopping supplements 3 days before is recommended unless your provider says otherwise. [M1]

Collection
Collect
- Write name, date of birth, collection date and time, and initials on the barcode and cup in ballpoint ink. [M1]
- Collect first morning urine and close the lid until it clicks twice. Urine must be yellow, not clear. [M1]

Processing
- Freeze at least 4 hours and keep frozen until shipping. [M1]

Does Speedy Sticks collect this sample?
No. Speedy Sticks only does venipuncture. We don't do capillary, fingerstick or self-collection.
