The process
Step by step

Before the visit
Prep
- Read Vibrant's Gut Zoomer pre-test preparation instructions before collecting. [V1][V4]

Collection
Collect
- Stick the collection sheet onto the toilet seat, curve notch facing you. It must not touch the water. [V1]
- Have a bowel movement. Keep stool away from toilet water and urine. [V1]
- Using the scoop on each cap, collect from well-formed, diarrheal or bloody areas if present. [V1]
- Orange cap: keep the liquid and add stool until the level reaches the fill line. White cap: fill stool up to the line. Screw caps tight. [V1]
- Flush the sheet and leftover stool. Put both tubes in the biohazard bag and seal. [V1]

Processing
- Write the collection date and time on the biohazard bag label. [V1]

Get it to the lab
Shipping
- Put the bag in the small box, then the return envelope. Mail within 24 hours of collection by FedEx. Holding samples can cause rejection. [V1]
- If you cannot ship right away, Vibrant's help center says to refrigerate; the lab must receive it within 7 days of collection. [V2]
