The process
Step by step

Before the visit

- Fasting is not required for the Micronutrient serum. [V1]
- Draw Monday to Friday. [V1]

The draw
Draw
- Draw 2 royal blue (or 2 SST) tubes, then 3 lavender K2EDTA tubes, in the order on Vibrant's sheet. [V1]

Right after collection
Processing
- Serum: invert 8 to 10 times right after the draw, clot 30 minutes (no more than 60), and spin 15 min at 3300 RPM. [V1]
- Pipette serum from both tubes into one metal-free TES tube, at least 3 to 4 mL, with no red cells. Label it TES. [V1]
- Recap the original tubes, tape the lids, and send them too. [V1]
- Lavender: invert 8 to 10 times. Do not spin. Wrap in 3 layers of bubble bag. [V1]

Get it to the lab
Shipping
- Put all processed tubes in one biohazard bag, with the Complete Order Summary in the back pocket. [V1]
- Frozen ice packs go under and over the bag in the cooler. Freeze them at least 24 hours ahead. [V1]
- Call FedEx at 800-463-3339 for a pickup and ship the same day, before the next day cutoff. [V1]
