Endo+ (serum + urine + saliva + stool)

Genova Diagnostics is a specialty lab that ships collection packs to providers and patients. Tests are activated at gdx.net/mygdx or gdx.net/activate. ^[G1]

Endo+ is a combined hormone pack. It contains devices for several tests, including a serum blood draw plus urine, saliva and other samples the patient collects at home. ^[G1]

   Before the visit

   Prep

   • Collect early in the workweek and ship within 2 days. ^[G1]
   • Certain medications may affect results. Abnormal kidney function or diuretics may affect results. ^[G1]
   • Freeze the freezer brick at least 8 hours. ^[G1]

   The draw

   Draw

   • Draw the SST tubes. Fill them to capacity. Order of draw is not published. Follow the instructions in your kit.

   Right after collection

   Processing

   • Finish within 45 minutes. ^[G1]
   • Clot 15 min standing in a rack, spin 15 min at 3000 RPM, move the serum to the grey cap tubes, and discard the SSTs. ^[G1]
   • Put the grey cap tubes in a biohazard bag in the freezer for at least 2 hours, and keep them frozen until shipping. ^[G1]

   Get it to the lab

   Shipping

   • Label every tube with the patient's date of birth and the collection date. ^[G1]
   • Put the frozen freezer brick and the biohazard bag(s) with the tubes inside the foam insulator. ^[G1]
   • Enter the collection date at gdx.net/mygdx to get a confirmation code. Write it and the date on the activation card and put the card in the box. ^[G1]
   • Seal the box in the FedEx bag and drop it at an authorized FedEx location. Ship Monday to Friday and avoid US holidays. ^[G1]
