- Clean the skin with isopropyl alcohol. [G1]
- Draw the 4 mL and 6 mL K3-EDTA lavender tubes. [G1]

Right after collection
Processing
- Invert each tube 3 times. Do not shake. [G1]
- Refrigerate. No spin. [G1]
- The lab must receive it within 48 hours. It can be refrigerated overnight. [G1]

Get it to the lab
Shipping
- Label every tube with the patient's date of birth and the collection date. [G1]
- Put the biohazard bag with the tubes in the box. [G1]
- Enter the collection date at gdx.net/mygdx to get a confirmation code. Write it and the date on the activation card and put the card in the box. [G1]
- Seal the box in the FedEx bag and drop it at an authorized FedEx location. Ship Monday to Friday and avoid US holidays. [G1]
